In accepting the Republican vice-presidential nomination Cheney declared that he's looking at serving alongside one who can work to achieve his goals by engaging across the partisan divide as well as working with opposition politicians to achieve a mutual goals. Richard Bruce Cheney was born in Lincoln Nebraska on January 30 1941. He was the father of Richard Herbert Cheney and the former Marjorie Lauraine Dickey. As a 13-year-old, Richard Bruce moved with his parents to Casper (in the state of Wyoming) which is where his father worked as the director of the U.S. Department of Agriculture's soil conservation district.
